There are some exciting developments happening at the
Groovy 1960s House renovation and extension.
I popped in to have a look at progress today,
and this is what the boys have been busy installing...
The 1960s were such a fabulous decade for fashion and for architecture.
So much wonderful inspiration.
The renovations are almost done - and soon the clients will have themselves
a very groovy, re-loved, 1960s home.
Can you imagine what wonderful parties they will be able to throw?

This is the era from when my parents ruled the world - I love it! P.S They still rule the world :-) xo Can't wait to see the party pics!
ReplyDeleteSounds like they are super-duper parents then. Lucky you!
DeleteDid you hear my sigh of delight? The tiles are out of this world, if I win the lottery I'll hire you!
ReplyDeleteOh you are adorable Tabitha! Thank you - that has added such a spark to my step this morning.
DeleteI love the stuff you post Virginia - I have pics of my mum looking rather like the lady in the 2nd pic - so much fun..
ReplyDeleteHave a great day sweets, all the way from a weather confused Denmark. 2nd year running - so far 7 sunny days since May - NOT kidding:))))
At least we do already own winter clothes ha ha!!
Axx
Really? How wonderful. I love those swing coats and have a ridiculous number of vintage ones in my wardrobe. But living in Melbourne, they get used! Our last 2 summers here have been very cool too - we'll get a big shock if it goes back to being hot again this year.
DeleteVery groovy! I once had a bathroom with dark greeny turquoise mosaic tiles and loved it. The white button tiles are interesting too x
ReplyDeleteI love '60s style and this post is great ! Your blog is stuffed with interesting info and beauty ! I love fashion and interior design as well as architecture and I will be following from now on :-) Greetings

Hello Vale and welcome to Glamour Drops! It was an incredible era, I agree.
DeleteThe color of the tiles are fabulous...
ReplyDeleteit would look so groovy in there.
It says so much about the strength of your talent that you are slowly winning me over with your projects so that I am ready to get into my carriage and be carried into modern times! I love all of this.
ReplyDeleteBon weekend,
H
Oh really? Wow, that's no mean feat!!!
DeleteAnd isn't it interesting, the relativity of "modern times" - when we are discussing an era 50 years ago. I guess what I am trying to do, is encourage people to see the beauty in any era and celebrate it for what it is. Which applies whether it is 500 or 50 or 5 years old.
And I am very chuffed at your compliment! Thank you.
