New + Old, Black + White: a house which is both

With black + new out the back,
and white + old out the front,
this home at Albert Park plays with contrasts.

So of course we would be needing a little blast of colour,
in the middle,
to tie it all together.
Which the rug does in a happily colourful fashion.
And they have one of those groovy suspended fireplaces...
The house's extension & remodel was designed by
O'Conner + Houle Architecture.
Who were also responsible for this luscious piece of alfresco deliciousness,
at a house in Bellevue Hill, Sydney.
Mmm...chairs for 2...perfect for after work G + T for 2.
Would you like to live here?

Property: 2 Kerferd Place, Albert Park, Melbourne

  1. Yes, I could move in right away. Love that the owners have kept the original facade. Also like that you have showcased the rugs, as I'm rug shopping at the moment and looking for inspiration. x

  2. Very cool place - love the contrast of the front and the back of the house - And I am loving the rug :) Have a great Friday Virginia,

  3. This home is definitely one of a kind and beautiful. I haven't seen a home with such a unique feature. Thanks for sharing, Virginia!
