Can you believe that this stunning balloon back chair,
covered with Florence Broadhurst fabric,
used to look like this...
Yeah...a bit tragic in the original state.
But perhaps with a new colour scheme,
and a bit of stunning fabric...
Oh yes, nice choice!
This inspired makeover was by the inimitable
interior designer Camilla Molders.
Faced with a shrinking budget on a project,
she put her thinking hat on to find affordable furniture.
But in my book, they look a million dollars.

Don't they look fantastic. Just love seeing things like this - thank you. Also, that pic you have at the top of your blog 'Simplicity of Lines', I could just fall into! It looks magical to me right now - just perfect.
ReplyDeleteI too saw that .. amazing result .. amazing ability to 'see' how that daggy old chair could look. Camilla is amazing (-:
ReplyDeletenote: put up the new one (and a little note for you!!)
yes i can.
ReplyDeleteantique chairs when painted, or even better; lacquered.
and the covered in a great fabric really looks hip in my eyes. xx
Hello Virginia:
ReplyDeleteWhat an exciting transformation! The chairs are absolutely splendid and so very stylish. The material with which they are covered is, in our view, wonderful and would add an 'edge' to a traditional setting whilst being most suitable in modern surroundings.
Such an original idea!
What a great transformation indeed! I love Florence B's fabrics...especially in B&W!
ReplyDeleteGreat post :)
