The Garden House :: simplicity surrounded by verdancy

A very simple building belies the design required
to make it look so.
But sometimes,
when there is a brilliant view involved,
a simple building is the perfect response to a site.
This is The Garden House,
a modular building built with views to the
much-loved Carlton Gardens in Melbourne,
where the Royal Exhibition Building takes centre stage.
The building was designed by Woods Bagot,
the interiors by Hecker Phelan.
And it's a perfect example of the beauty of simplicity.

  1. I would love a home like this. Allowing nature and the vistas to take center stage. Wonderful !!
