2012 Pantone Colour of the Year: Tangerine Tango

The most lusciously fabulous tone of tomato red
has been announced as the Colour of the Year for 2012 by Pantone.

Already a favourite of many,
this is a happy bright tone of orange which screams confidence,
enthusiasm & optimism,
without taking itself too seriously.
Tangerine Tango is a colour which was very prevalent in the 1960s
~ as in this glorious vintage photograph by Tom Palumbo.

What goes around, comes around...as they say...
but I'm loving this merry go round.

We are so pleased that we shall be, thanks to you, in the vanguard of fashion knowing the colour of the year for 2012. Clearly this is destined to be a year of  drama and passion, we can hardly wait!!!

  2. Ah welcome back Jane & Lance! I have missed both your witty blog posts and comments here. Like the sound of a year of drama and passion - sounds very exciting. But the colour of the year is most interesting, because it picks up on a general mood in retail, reflective of a deeper mood of society. So let's hope 2012 is a year of good things, with people feeling more positive about the future. Virginia xx
